If you’ve been here long enough you know that the best way to find a stylish outfit fast is by using RYN-- your own personal stylist. The app focuses on your personal styling preferences and the clothes you currently have in your closet to harness your wardrobe's full potential! It has just a couple of months left of development until it grants us its styling knowledge, but if you'd like to be an exclusive beta tester of the app, sign up here!

Since RYN isn’t open to the public yet, we are here to help you create a stylish outfit. Here are some tips to get you started:

1. Choose a statement piece: Start by selecting one standout item that you love, such as a bold patterned skirt or a vibrant top. It can even be a new pair of jeans that you’ve been wanting to wear or maybe something you found in your closet from 10 years ago…This will be the focal point of your outfit around which you'll style.

2. Mix and match: Don't be afraid to mix different colors, patterns, and textures. Pair your statement piece with complementary pieces that enhance its beauty. For example, if you have a patterned skirt, pair it with a solid-colored top to balance the look. It's also helpful to pull one or two colors from the statement piece into other aspects of the outfit to create cohesion.

3. Accessorize strategically: Accessories can elevate your outfit and add a personal touch. Choose accessories that complement your outfit, such as a statement necklace, a stylish belt, or a trendy bag. When in doubt, pull aspects from your outfit to inspire the accessories you choose like matching leather or hardware.

4. Pay attention to fit: The fit of your clothes is crucial in creating a stylish outfit. Make sure your clothes fit well and flatter your body shape. Tailoring your clothes to fit you perfectly can make a huge difference in how you look and feel. We wrote a deeper dive into how to find what “fit” of clothing looks best on you, check it out here.

5. Layer for dimension: Layering can help make any outfit look thoughtful and bring an entirely different feel to pieces you may otherwise be bored of. By wearing a peek-a-boo undershirt and a coat as a top layer you can add a lot of interest and dimension to an outfit that is made up of plain basics. As another option, try wearing a knit over your summer dress to give it use in the off-season and double your "skirt" selection. Remember, you don't always need a super unique piece to create an interesting outfit.

6. It’s all in the details: To tie together any outfit, paying attention to the little details can go a long way. Ironing or steaming your clothing, cleaning off your shoes, or cutting off loose threads can elevate an entire look!

The most important thing is to wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Experiment with different styles and have fun expressing your unique personality through your outfits. I hope these tips help you create some amazing looks! And keep your eye out, RYN will be coming soon with more fashion advice!
